For over 150 years in York, this congregation has always tried to faithfully show the love of Jesus Christ to our community and each other. We are active in our community through our partnership with agencies who are doing wonderful work in York, such as PATH and Tender Hearts. We get our own hands dirty during our Operation Inasmuch day each September, and our support of our local elementary school. On Sunday mornings, you might find the congregation engaged in Sunday school for all ages, warming up with the choir, or ministering across the street at White Oak Nursing Home, all before we gather for worship at 11 a.m. Wednesday nights we meet together for a time of worship and Bible Study for adults, as well as activities for our children and youth. Of course, we wouldn’t be Baptist if we didn’t share in meals together! The first Wednesday of every month is our Covered Dish meal at 6 p.m. before Bible Study. After worship on the third Sunday of every month, we also share a free Community meal together. When you come to First Baptist, I think you will find a congregation committed to hospitality, service, and spreading the love of God throughout our community and world. I hope you will come and serve with us!

Grace and Peace,

Chris Liles
